Lanzarote, as with all of the Canary Islands, is hugely popular with many people from different countries, even those who go back year after year.

Lazarote is one of the easternmost of all the islands is Lanzarote, which lies approximately sixty miles from Africa, maybe this is why the island has the least rainfall of them all.

Getting to Lanzarote these days is a breeze with excellent ferry connections from the other islands and coupled with regular flights to Lanzarote your spoilt for choice.

There are a staggering 300 volcanoes on the island, hence the nickname ‘Land of a Thousand Volcanoes. The lava fields at Timanfaya National Park leave the echoes of the violent volcanic activity that created Isla de Lanzarote.

In 1968, a Canarian artist, Cesar Manrique, helped to develop the sparkling blue lake that lies in its center while at one of the huge tourist attractions, Los Jameos del Aqua, the most visited lava tubes on the island.

Lanzarote or paradise island, as it could be called, has miles, and miles of beautiful white sandy beaches with a gorgeous coastline, making it ideal for families and adults alike and is a haven for those wishing to do water-sports, such as scuba diving, para-sailing, and windsurfing to mention just a few with plenty more to choose from.

The island has many hotels and villas to choose from. Exclusive Hotels in Lanzarote offer fabulous amenities, excellent service, rooms with ocean views and free shuttle buses to all the major attractions available on the island.

Those wanting to come and go as they please or big family groups and friends may prefer to choose a villa. All of the villas generally have their own pool and secluded gardens with all the luxuries inside to make it your very own little paradise for the duration of your holiday.

Lanzarote apartments are another choice for those couples not wanting a hotel or villa. Most apartments are within easy access to the glorious beaches and other attractions, or sunbathe on the generous terrace provided for that added peace and tranquility required while recharging the batteries.
